The outcome of the gubernatorial election in Osun state was a clear demonstration  and reflection of the wishes of the people. I salute Osun voters for their show of doggedness, resoluteness and solidarity as they refused to be cowed, cajoled, castrated, caged and capitulated by d power at the center. To me such a gallant display of total and unfettered support for Governor Rauf Aregbesola in the face of brazen act of intimidation, arrest and harassment by security agents was uncommon.  If Nigerians could be that steadfast, bold and decisive nobody or government would be able to subvert our wishes. I also lauded INEC and other stakeholders for making the peoples votes count. As a chieftain of APC vying for Egbeda/Ona Ara federal seat in 2015 I promised to also strive to earn my peoples trust through genuine representation and massive developmental projects.   “We commend the people of Osun State for their turnout and the peaceful and orderly manner with which they have conducted themselves thus far. It's not a landslide victory but an earthquake victory. Congratulations to the good people of Osun State".

Engr. Taiwo Michael Akintola encourages voters in the forth coming elecetion in Osun State.

An aspirant into Egbeda OnaAra federal Constituency in Oyo State, Engr. Taiwo Michael Akintola wants the people of Osun state to troop out on Sat. 9th Aug 2014 to exercise their franchise in the coming Governorship election. The APC aspirant said voters shouldn't be intimidated by the presence of security operatives in the state. He harped on the need for residents to conduct themselves peacefully and avoid violent, stressing that no security agents would harass them if they are orderly. Engr. Taiwo Akintola said it was time Nigerian leaders and the led avoid manipulation of election result, adding that wishes of voters should be upheld and respected at all times. He therefore assured that APC w0uld continue to work for the entrenchment of sound democratic ideals in Nigeria as well the conduct of free and fair election.
